as were the trees in the giant forest.
General Sherman is the largest tree in the world and thought to be over 2000 years old. The bark is fireproof so the trees grow in spite of the wild fires that go through those CA forests. It was quite remarkable.

I love Sequoia! Someday we want to get a big group to go up there and rent a cabin with us.
