sweet Alexey

Lex turned 3 last week. We had a fun day of celebration the day before her birthday as her last day to get into Sea World without a ticket. (the rest of us have passes). She loves Sea World and asks to go there quite frequently. She also asks to go to the playground. Since I have no camera I have no pics from the day, but Kari took some of our b-day dinner that evening.

somehow we couldn't find candles so we used matches. Lucky for us, Lex is young enough not to care about little things like this.

she really wanted a caterpillar cake (like one we saw at Costco). I did this instead b/c it was super easy and the kids could all help make colors and frost cupcakes.

Some of my favorite things about Alexey:

1. She loves her "mimi." We are down to just one favorite burp rag -- the teddy bear mimi. She loves all of her other blankets too. They are all made by either me or grandma Linda.

2. She says "ohay" instead of "okay." I hear this several times a day. I will ask or tell her something and she'll say "ohay, Mom."

3. She loves Calvin and Clare.

4. She does NOT love to be called baby or little. She will be EXTREMELY offended if she is called small in any way.

5.When she sees a picture of herself as a baby she says, "there's baby me" if she sees one of Clare it is "baby Clare" or Calvin "baby Calvin."

6. She holds up her figers #2,3 and 5 to show that she is 3 years old.

7. She loves to be her Dad's backpack.

8. She is TERRIFIED of spiders. (to the point of shaking and sobbing) Dave is wondering if this all goes back to the time when he threw a spider in the bath to try to get the kids out faster when lex was only 1.

9. She likes to do her "homework" just like Dad and Calvin and Clare.

10. She says stuff like this ".....that made me soooo happy" "....that make Tressel so happy" "that make me so sad"
